welcome to the kelowna yacht club on the shores of lake okanagan

Why let the kids have all the fun? The Adult Sailing Program at the Kelowna Yacht Club caters to the beginner who wants to experience the excitement of being on the water, and to the advanced sailor who would like to get back out into the highly responsive world of dinghy sailing.

Adult Dinghy Level One

If you are a beginner who would like to be introduced to the sport of sailing in a positive and warm environment this is the course for you. By the end of this course you should be able to rig and de-rig your boat, confidently leave and return to the dock, and perform simple steering and sail adjustments. Also successful candidates will receive Canadian Yachting Association certification. Each session runs for three weeks on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00pm-9:00pm.

Dates:
May 17 - June 2
June 7 - June 23

August 9 - August 25

Price: $145.00/member $150.00/non-member

Adult Dinghy Level Two

If you have completed Adult Dinghy Level One or have prior sailing experience you may be a great candidate for Adult Dinghy Level Two. The goal for this course is for the students to be able to sail with confidence on every point of sail and achieve their CYA White Sail Three Level. Graduates of this course should be able to sail on their own with confidence. This course also runs for three weeks on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00pm - 9:00pm.

Dates:
June 28 - July 14
