Bliss, Tony, Passed away on Wednesday May 19, 2010 at the age of 57. He is survived by his loving wife Shannon, daughter Sarah Bliss (cory) two sons Richard Bliss (Shannon ) Shaydon Larrett, two grandsons Keatin Colegrave, Kael Bliss all of Kelowna and sister Gilliam Bliss (Aleck Roberts) of Pasadena California. It is with profound sadness that we announce that Ron Russell passed away unexpectedly the evening of Wednesday, January 27, 2010. A highly respected and successful businessman, Ron lived his life to its fullest.
Born October 2, 1946 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Ron enjoyed a thirty-nine year career in the insurance and financial services industry wherein he personified the “whole man concept” balancing family, career, and community. Ron was sadly predeceased by his daughter Taraleigh in 1999.
The funeral service will be held at the Mission Creek Alliance Church (2091 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC) at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2nd followed by a reception at the Kelowna Golf & Country Club (1297 Glenmore Drive).
Interment will be held at the City of Kelowna Cemetery on Wednesday, February 3rd starting at 10 a.m.

Ron is survived by his wife of forty-one years Priscilla, his sons Tyler (Sung) and Tyson (Sonya), and three grandsons (Cooper, Kiban, and Clark).

WILSON, ROBERT R (BOB), Aug. 28, 1926 to Jan. 10, 2010. It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved and cherished father, granddad and friend in Abbotsford Regional Hospital after a brief illness into the open and loving arms of Jesus Christ.

Survived by his four sons: Brian, Donald (Charlene), Robert, Alan (Sue), grandchildren Valarie (Taren), Jeffrey and Lisa (Jake), great grandchildren Autumn (Val & Taren) and Hunter (Lisa & Jake). Brothers: Theodore (June), Lewis (Anne) and Dick, Sisters: Sharon (Dale) and Tiny.

Sadly predeceased by his loving wife (Ruby), mother (Luella), father (Ralphe), sisters (Carol and Tubby), brother-in-law (Ray) and sister-in-law (Evelyn).

Dad served his country in WWII as a member of the Canadian Airborne 1944-45. Returning to Kelowna, dad started a business (Wilson Pumice Products) married and began raising his family. He proudly served the Citizens of Kelowna through many service organizations: Kelowna Fire Department; Scouts Canada; Kelowna Power Squadron; Kelowna Yacht Club (Commodore) & International Order of the Blue Gavel; Kelowna Search & Rescue - Water Division; Kelowna Golf & Country Club and Kelowna Curling Club. Dad received the Fire Fighters Exemplary Service Medals (BC and Federal), Governor General Home Builders Award, Certificate of Merit from the Government of Canada, BC Fire Commissioner Commendation and others.

Retiring after 22 years service at the closure of Brenda Mines, Dad and Mom enjoyed travelling, however, Kelowna and family was always home. Shortly after Mom’s passing, Dad retired from the Kelowna Fire Department as District Fire Chief with 45 years service relocating to Chilliwack.

A celebration of Dad’s life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 16th at the Cathedral of St Michaels and All Angels Anglican Church, 608 Sutherland Avenue. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the BC Fire Fighter's Burn Fund or BC Heart and Stroke Foundation. In keeping with Bob’s wishes he will be cremated and rejoined with Ruby in a Private family internment. Mabel Hall
HALL: Mabel (Kupie) Verna Hall 1920-2009 passed away November 22, 2009 at the age of 89. Born and raised in Kelowna Mabel worked in the fruit and forest industry for many years. Was a life member of the Kelowna Yacht Club and secretary for over 40 years. She enjoyed many good times at the Club. Mabel was a volunteer at the I.O.D.E. Thrift Shop and a member of the Stagette Club. Mabel was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Bessie Hall. Survived by her sister Kay Conn, Burbank, Washington, nephews Bryan Conn, Spokane, Washington, and Gary Conn, Yakima, Washington, a cousin Gordon Hall, Naramata, BC, a great niece and great nephew as well as many friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Cathedral Church of St. Michaels and All Angels, 608 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers donations to the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation in memory of Kupie would be appreciated.
