The Kelowna Yacht Club invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of General Manager. The KYC is located in Kelowna, British Columbia, in the heart of the Okanagan Valley. The region is renowned for its orchards, vineyards and spectacular scenery. Situated near the mid point of Okanagan Lake, the KYC is the largest yacht club in the interior of the province with over 2000 members.

As General Manager of this progressive and vibrant Yacht Club you will enjoy the challenges that come your way as the KYC expands the moorage basin and builds a new state of the art club facility over the next three years.

You will have a proven management background that includes:

• A university degree and / or management experience in the marine, recreation or hospitality sectors

• Outstanding communication and customer service skills

• Excellent HR, Finance and Project Management skills

• Demonstrated success in leading diverse teams of specialists in a multi-faceted environment.

The General Manager is an experienced executive who is dedicated to providing quality service.

As General Manager, you will report to the Commodore and work with club members and their Board of Directors in supporting a professional, social and business environment. Key duties include providing leadership and direction to the club’s management team and staff; overseeing the management, security and maintenance of all club facilities; negotiating agreements / communicating with external contractors and levels of governments on behalf of the club; and, ensuring the provision of quality service to the membership.
